Brian is wanted for fraud and in the questioning of the murder of his fiancé Gabby Petito, 22, whose body was found in the Bridge-Teton National Forest in Wyoming on September 19, 2021.

Gabby, a vlogger, and Brian had been on a cross-country sight-seeing trip that had started in July. They had traveled from New York to Utah, and up into Wyoming.

On September 1, 2021, Brian arrived back at his parent’s home in Florida without Gabby but driving her white van. Gabby’s parents had been trying to reach the Laundries with no response and reported her missing on September 11. Gabby’s mother last heard from her daughter on August 25.
