Beginning in 1979, a series of murders and disappearances occurred in the normally peaceful Lewiston-Clarkston metropolitan areas of Idaho and Washington. The crimes have haunted the communities and investigators alike. Authorities think the murders and disappearances are linked, but questions remain.

It’s been over 40 years since a little girl vanished from her quiet community of Asotin, in Eastern Washington state. Each year the fair rolls into town, drawing hundreds of people to the community.

On the morning of April 28, 1979, Christina “Chrissy” White, 12, went to the Asotin County Fair before biking to her friend’s home. A couple of hours later, Christina called her mother crying, saying she was feeling sick from the heat. She had suffered from heat stroke in the past, so her mother told her to use a cold washcloth to cool down and then come home, which was only a few blocks away.

When Christina did not call back, her mother assumed she had returned to the fair. Between 7:00 and 10:00 pm, Christina was seen riding her 10-speed bicycle in the 500 block of 2nd Street…
